Economic Benefits

The economic benefits associated with this project are considerable. In addition to generating income, property, and value-added taxes on behalf of GLS, the initiative will contribute to employment growth that will positively impact surrounding communities.

Capital Investment & Global Support

The initial capital investment is projected to exceed US $250 million, with plans for phased expansion that will ultimately surpass US $2.5 billion. GLS is supported by foreign direct investment originating from more than six countries and has secured preliminary commitments from prominent international clients in industries that require reliable, locally based chip manufacturing capacity.

Job Creation & Long-Term Growth

GLS anticipates creating over 2,000 jobs within the first three years, with workforce numbers expected to increase to more than 10,000 over the next decade.

Workforce Development & Innovation

The Workforce Development Initiative is designed to prioritize training and employment opportunities for Indigenous peoples, military veterans, and seniors. Collaboration efforts are underway with STEM programs, colleges, and universities throughout New York and the Northeastern United States.
